Position Overview: The Inside Sales Engineer serves as the primary liaison for customers, addressing both technical inquiries and customer service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for incoming customer calls, providing essential technical knowledge to assist the engineering team in understanding client requirements for tailored solutions.
  • Prepare product proposals and deliver technical assistance throughout the sales process, both before and after the sale.
  • Oversee customer service elements related to the sales process.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer RFP documents, interpret specifications, and create technical proposals for new programs and devices.
  • Respond to general and technical inquiries from customers regarding product offerings.
  • Manage order entry and maintenance processes efficiently.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to troubleshoot technical issues and guide users through resolution steps.
  • Facilitate customer interactions with the engineering team as necessary.
  • Review and approve quotes and orders.
  • Track and follow up on open sales opportunities.
  • Support sales representatives with both technical and general questions.
  • Assist the National Sales Manager in refining inside sales processes, including quotations, pricing, order entry, and training materials.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for product development proactively.
  • Provide secondary phone support for program customers and technical assistance as needed.
  • Help with shipping documentation and order tracking for specific customer segments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or customer service roles involving technical products.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MRP systems, and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Effective time management and customer service abilities, along with knowledge of export control regulations.

Note: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders due to the nature of the business.
