Position Summary: The selected candidate will serve as the primary sales contact for customers, addressing both technical inquiries and customer service requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for incoming customer calls, providing essential technical knowledge to assist the engineering team in understanding client requirements for tailored solutions.
- Prepare product proposals and deliver technical assistance throughout the sales process, both before and after the sale.
- Manage customer service aspects related to the sales process.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer RFPs, interpret their needs, and develop technical proposals for new programs and devices.
- Respond to general and technical inquiries from customers regarding products.
- Oversee order entry and maintenance tasks.
- Utilize effective communication skills to troubleshoot technical issues and guide users through resolution processes.
- Facilitate customer interactions with the engineering team as necessary.
- Review and approve quotes and orders.
- Track and follow up on open sales opportunities.
- Support sales representatives with both technical and general inquiries.
- Assist the National Sales Manager in refining inside sales processes, including quotations, pricing, order entry, and training materials.
- Identify and report potential opportunities for product development.
- Provide secondary phone coverage for program customers and technical support as needed.
- Help with shipping documentation and order tracking for specific customer segments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or customer service related to technical products.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MRP systems, and strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate technical sales and customer service expertise.
Note: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders due to the nature of the business.
