About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Content Specialist to join our team at ProMach. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for creating, developing, writing, and editing technical content for various publications, including manuals, reports, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for large-scale ProMach equipment, including customer parts manuals.
  • Assist in revising operations manuals based on redlines provided by supervisors.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to obtain necessary information for daily tasks.
  • Assist in editing and laying out graphics for use in manuals.
  • Develop parts manuals using Bill of Materials and Assembly drawings.
  • Revised manuals when conversions or upgrades occur.
  • Revised published materials based on redlines and recommended revisions from supervisors or others.
  • Support the development of PowerPoint presentations for executive management.
  • Organize material and complete documentation assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Take video footage of machines running in a simulated production mode prior to shipment.
  • Take photographs of equipment on the shop floor for record-keeping and documentation purposes.
  • Develop machine-specific videos based on individual requests from the Sales Department.
  • Support other company initiatives, such as Team Boards, 5S Documentation, CIP Escalation Team, and safety video editing.
  • Update and record all machine checklists, including electrical data sheets supplied by Manufacturing.
  • Travel and provide engineering field support for machine installation, setup, and service for all Fogg customer base and/or our dealer/agents.
  • Support Fogg customers, Sales Department, and Purchasing Department on project control specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering and/or graphic design discipline or equivalent.
  • 1-year engineering and/or technical writing, and/or graphic design experience required, packaging industry preferred.
  • May include machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance, mechanical desktop, 3-D drawing, and/or Internet experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PC/Computer skills, including knowledge of word processing, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
