Compensation and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Research Operations will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing the execution of clinical studies while ensuring ethical and legal recruitment and consent of participants.
  • Managing the research team and coordinating departmental activities.
  • Reviewing and approving paid time off requests for research personnel.
  • Monitoring and revising departmental policies as necessary.
  • Participating in leadership meetings and collaborating with other department heads.
  • Ensuring adherence to ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, IRB policies, and all relevant regulations.
  • Providing exemplary care for patients involved in clinical trials, following established protocols.
  • Screening and evaluating patients for trial eligibility, managing the consent process, and maintaining communication with investigators, patients, and their families.
  • Conducting feasibility assessments for protocols, including budget considerations and trial preparations.
  • Preparing for and engaging in study visits with monitors, sponsors, and auditors.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A Master's degree in a medical or health-related discipline.
  • Experience in clinical research, including knowledge of GCP standards and medical documentation.
  • Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of study coordinators and research staff.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of regulatory documents.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the New York State Department of Education, federal regulations, and FDA guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with advanced computer proficiency and comfort with electronic medical records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with patients and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently, coupled with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
