POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are in search of Camp Specialty Instructors to enrich our programs by offering guidance, safety, leadership, and educational support to children. Areas of focus include Archery, Arts and Crafts, Basketball, Dance, Fitness, Music, and various other activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the effective operation of camp activities
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the site
  • Create engaging and dynamic programming
  • Execute skill-oriented lesson plans
  • Provide mentorship and direction to youth
  • Collaborate with the Youth Development Director
  • Stay informed on program-related developments
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Foster a secure environment
  • Exhibit positive leadership qualities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Implement safety protocols
  • Engage in creative camp activities
  • Communicate effectively with participants
  • Attend mandatory training sessions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in working with children
  • Expertise in specialty areas
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Customer service orientation
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR/First Aid certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with adolescents
  • Minimum age of 21
  • First Aid/CPR certification

  • Successful completion of background checks
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
