Job Overview

FlexForce is seeking a skilled Billing Associate to join our team. In the role of Healthcare Billing Associate, you will be tasked with the management and resolution of insurance claims, processing payments, and addressing claim denials. Collaborating with insurance providers to ensure the efficient processing of medical billing claims is essential. Previous experience in this field is required.

Position Title: Healthcare Billing Specialist

Location: This position is office-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting claim status inquiries to guarantee appropriate resolution
  • Engaging with insurance companies as necessary
  • Analyzing and processing claim rejections and appeals for thorough investigation and resolution
  • Monitoring payment discrepancies and managing payment processes
  • Ensuring compliance with federal regulations in claims processing
  • Handling incoming communications and inquiries specific to payer types
  • Verifying patient insurance information
  • Ensuring the accuracy of patient demographic data
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in medical billing is preferred
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, or similar software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and patients
  • Reliable with a strong attendance record
  • Capable of adhering to productivity targets, departmental standards, and company policies
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
