This position is responsible for supporting the growth of the 340B Multiple Contract Pharmacy Program. The role involves maintaining databases and systems to ensure adherence to financial and regulatory standards related to the 340B Program and the Multiple Contract Pharmacy initiative. Collaboration with existing staff and Contract Pharmacies is essential to effectively serve our patient population.

Educational Requirements

Mandatory: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Preferred: Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience

Mandatory: A minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare, Compliance, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred: Experience with the 340B Drug Discount Program.

Certifications

Preferred: Completion of the Apexus Advanced 340B Certificate Program.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficient computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications and software relevant to the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of pharmacy processes and medications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
  • Reliable transportation for travel, including the ability to drive on Interstate highways.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting mechanisms for hospitals, GPOs, Retail Pharmacies, and Wholesalers.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software supporting 340B Pharmacy Programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Understanding of regulations and guidelines governing the 340B Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards, including those from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) related to the 340B Program.
  • Monitor drug utilization and purchasing at contract pharmacies.
  • Assist in the implementation, testing, maintenance, and auditing of new contract pharmacy sites.
  • Act as a technical resource for contract pharmacies and hospital pharmacy departments.
  • Conduct scheduled audits and address issues during monitoring and reconciliation.
  • Review Medicaid prescriptions to ensure compliance and prevent duplicate discounts.
  • Utilize electronic health records to research patient information within specified audit periods.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to identify cost savings and enhance compliance.
  • Support staff education and training related to the 340B Program.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve program efficiency and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
