Research Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Faculty member to join our team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The successful candidate will be a PhD or MD/PhD researcher with a strong background in basic science research, particularly in the area of colorectal cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in colorectal cancer, with a focus on oncogenesis, treatment resistance, microbial interactions, bioinformatics, drug discovery, or immunotherapy.
- Develop and write grant proposals to secure extramural funding for research projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external researchers to advance our understanding of colorectal cancer and develop effective treatments.
- Supervise and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
- PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field.
- Postdoctoral research experience in basic science research.
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals.
- Current, active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01).
- Academic experience a plus.
- Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.
