Job Title: Research Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Faculty member to join our team at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a Research Faculty member, you will be responsible for conducting research in the field of General Internal Medicine, with a focus on clinician investigators and PhD researchers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in General Internal Medicine, with a focus on clinician investigators and PhD researchers.
  • Develop and implement research projects, including study design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance the field of General Internal Medicine.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Teach and mentor students and junior faculty members.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree, with completion of Internal Medicine or IM-Peds Residency from an ACGME accredited program.
  • Board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Fellowship training and/or a track record of independent funding.
  • PhD in health services research, epidemiology, or a related field, with at least three years of collaborative research experience in a post-doctoral fellow and/or faculty position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a primary care research fellowship, health services research fellowship, clinical scholars program, or similar.
  • Established record of publishing research and obtaining funding.
  • Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Affinity for mentoring others.
  • Capacity to build and maintain productive collaborations.
