Job Title: Research Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Faculty member to join our team in the Department of Surgery, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in basic or translational science research, with a focus on colorectal cancer.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research studies and develop grant proposals to secure extramural funding.
  • Write and publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees.
Requirements:
  • PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field.
  • Postdoctoral research experience in basic science research.
  • Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Current, active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01).
