We are seeking a highly qualified Research Faculty member to join our team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a Research Faculty member, you will be responsible for conducting research in the field of medical laboratory science, teaching and mentoring students, and contributing to the development of our academic programs.
Responsibilities:- Conduct research in medical laboratory science, with a focus on immunology, Alzheimer's disease, aging, neuroscience, cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular, or microbiome research.
- Teach and mentor students in our Medical Laboratory Science, MS, and PhD programs.
- Develop and sustain an extramurally funded and productive scholarship program through publications and presentations.
- Contribute to service needs of the School, College, University, and professional organizations.
- PhD or equivalent in a related field to the medical laboratory science curriculum components.
- Evidence of strong teaching ability, including distance/online teaching.
- An established record or strong evidence of the ability to achieve an extramurally-funded and productive scholarship program in a discipline of medical laboratory science or related field.
- Ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Scholarly expertise in immunology, Alzheimer's disease, aging, neuroscience, cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular, or microbiome research.
