Job Title: Research Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Faculty member to join our team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a Research Faculty member, you will be responsible for conducting research in the field of medical laboratory science, teaching and mentoring students, and contributing to the development of our programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in medical laboratory science, with a focus on immunology, Alzheimer's disease, aging, neuroscience, cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular, or microbiome research.
  • Teach and mentor students in our Medical Laboratory Science, MS, and PhD programs.
  • Develop and sustain an extramurally funded and productive scholarship program through publications and presentations.
  • Contribute to service needs of the School, College, University, and professional organizations.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent in a related field to the medical laboratory science curriculum components.
  • Evidence of strong teaching ability, including distance/online teaching.
  • An established record or strong evidence of the ability to achieve an extramurally-funded and productive scholarship program in a discipline of medical laboratory science or related field.
  • Ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scholarly expertise in immunology, Alzheimer's disease, aging, neuroscience, cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular, or microbiome research.
