Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to management and staff on compliance-related issues, including Affirmative Action, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations.
  • Offer direction and expertise to business units regarding compliance requirements by utilizing advanced principles and concepts, while also contributing to the formulation of new policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams as a trusted advisor to enhance process efficiency and develop solutions for intricate compliance challenges.
  • Manage the complete project lifecycle of compliance initiatives, which includes planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, and expectations, ensuring effective communication of project status and risks to senior management.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a compliance role within a government contracting organization.
  • Proven experience leading compliance initiatives in alignment with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations as mandated by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
  • Experience overseeing the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) process.
  • Expertise in implementing processes to ensure compliance with various legal standards.
  • Experience conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance challenges and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient in submitting data for federal and state reporting, including VETS 4212, EEO-1, and Pay Data reporting for California and Illinois.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices to maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with various teams, including legal, operations, contracts, finance, and senior leadership.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a high school diploma/GED with 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting internal audits, risk identification, and management.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive research and analyses related to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
  • Capability to interpret legal documents and convey requirements to stakeholders in understandable terms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix team while communicating effectively.
  • Active certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or equivalent.

Salary is determined based on various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 annually.
