Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Lead to join our team at Convera Corporation. This role will involve leading a team of Business Development Managers, developing and implementing a comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the US market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 5 Business Development Managers and develop a GTM strategy for the US market.
  • Achieve personal revenue targets, with a significant portion of variable pay.
  • Contribute to team revenue through effective sales strategies and client engagement.

GTM Strategy:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the Foreign Exchange (FX) and payments industry. They will be responsible for identifying and engaging new prospects, attending industry and geographical networking events, and handling leads through the sales process.

Sales Prospecting:

The Strategic Business Development Lead will be responsible for tailored sales prospecting efforts, focusing on geographical allocation and industry specialization. This will involve targeting regional areas, mainly SME and Corporate clients.

Subject Matter Expertise:

The successful candidate will maintain and develop knowledge across specific industries or regions, ensuring they remain up-to-date on market trends and legislative requirements.

Client Solutions:

The Strategic Business Development Lead will work closely with internal teams to provide tailored solutions for clients, articulating how Convera products and services solve client challenges.

Market and Legislative Requirements:

The ideal candidate will maintain an understanding of FX market, compliance, and legislative requirements, ensuring they stay ahead of industry developments.

Sales Opportunities:

The Strategic Business Development Lead will utilize internal relationship teams and management to close sales opportunities, driving revenue growth for the business.

Key Partnerships:

The successful candidate will identify and develop key referral partnerships with associated organizations, expanding Convera's network and reach.

Account Management:

The Strategic Business Development Lead will manage new customers through to transition stage to dealing desk, ensuring seamless onboarding and support.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in the Foreign Exchange (FX) or payments industry.
  • Strong sales background and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of consultative sales principles and executive corporate negotiations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and develop new business growth.
