Crisis Response Clinician

Join the City of Durham's Community Safety Department as a Crisis Response Clinician and be part of a team that is transforming the way we respond to crisis situations. As a Crisis Response Clinician, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and behavioral health expertise to individuals in crisis.
About the Role:
- Respond to 911 calls related to behavioral and mental health, substance use, and quality of life concerns.
- Develop highly collaborative relationships with other crisis response team members.
- Screen and assess individuals experiencing crisis situations.
- Work closely with team members to de-escalate crisis situations and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of DSM5 diagnostic criteria.
- Provide follow-up support to individuals who experienced crises.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver's license.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle ambiguity.
