Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management services to students. You will also serve as a consultant to faculty, staff, and students on matters related to student well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychotherapy to students individually, as couples, and/or in groups in person and via telehealth.
- Diagnose students using current nationally and internationally recognized diagnostic systems and develop treatment plans based on evidenced-based practices.
- Screen clients for mental health disorders and refer for psychiatric evaluation, specialized treatment, and/or long-term therapy as appropriate.
- Provide outreach programming services for the campus community, conduct workshops, and serve as a consultant to faculty, staff, and students.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and maintain awareness of best practices, ethics, mental health law, emerging trends, and new legislation.
- Provide crisis intervention for emergencies and emergency on-call after hours, including nights each semester.
Requirements:
- Licensed clinical social workers and clinical mental health counselors with a supervised internship and three years of experience in the mental health field.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing culturally competent care for individuals with diverse identities.
- Preference is for three years post-licensure experience in the provision of mental health treatment.
