About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Response Clinician to join our Involuntary Commitment (IVC) Response Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate care and behavioral health expertise to individuals in crisis.

The IVC Response Unit is a specialized team that conducts in-field first examinations to assess individuals in the moment and determine if they meet criteria for a second evaluation. Our goal is to avoid unnecessary and potentially traumatic experiences for individuals, while also ensuring public safety.

You will work closely with our Medical Director, clinicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement protocols for the IVC Response Unit. Your expertise will be essential in shaping the direction of this innovative pilot program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-field first examinations for involuntary commitments
  • Develop highly collaborative relationships with crisis response team members
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of DSM5 diagnostic criteria
  • Participate in clinical and administrative supervision, case conferences, and staff meetings
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities and conversations regarding the performance and direction of the department
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field
  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Fully licensed professional within any of the following areas: LCMHC, LCSW
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
