Job Title: Crisis Response Clinician

Join the City of Durham, NC in a dynamic role as a Crisis Response Clinician. As a key member of our Community Safety Department, you will play a vital part in enhancing public safety through community-centered approaches to prevention and intervention.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Response Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will respond to 911 calls related to behavioral and mental health, substance use, and quality of life concerns. You will work closely with other crisis response team members to de-escalate crisis situations and provide therapeutic interventions to individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to 911 calls and provide crisis intervention services to individuals in need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other crisis response team members to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and support services to individuals in crisis.
  • Document all interactions and services provided in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in crisis response or related field.
  • Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
