About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at TravelCenters of America. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for every traveler who visits our travel centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide courteous, efficient, and personalized service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized store environment, including the food and beverage area, merchandise displays, and other areas of the store.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet the needs of the store and management, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report any potential hazards or incidents to management, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members and customers.
  • Establish strong relationships with colleagues and leaders, communicating effectively and providing support as needed.
Requirements
  • A dedicated and customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Basic computer and POS knowledge, with experience in cash handling and customer service preferred.
  • Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
