Compensation Range: $107,914/yr - $137,653/yr

Work Location: Hybrid

*Note: On-site presence at headquarters is required at least 3 days per week

Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Manufacturing Process Specialist to take a leading role in the design and advancement of diverse product formats, including tablets, capsules, soft gels, and powders. Your expertise will be crucial in our Engineering team's objective to expedite the development of nutritional dosage forms while adhering to stringent quality and manufacturability standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as Clinical Investigators, Formulators, Technical Regulatory, Quality, Packaging Engineers, and Manufacturing personnel, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and validating new or modified manufacturing processes for products, addressing the complexities of transitioning from research to production.
  • Researching, designing, and innovating product formats, including new processing technologies, equipment, and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Managing product specifications and technical risks to ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance on technical programs and projects.

This position requires in-office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Process Engineering, with educational credentials as follows:
    • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience
    • Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience
    • PhD with 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in product development and manufacturing process engineering within the Nutrition, Over-The-Counter (OTC), Pharmaceuticals, or Food consumables sectors.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders independently.
  • Comfortable utilizing business/finance software systems, analytical tools, databases, and standard office software applications.
  • Applying scientific research methodologies and experimental design to assess and enhance products and processes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and address issues.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with team members across all organizational levels.
  • Awareness of industry trends, suppliers, and innovations.

The Nutrition Process Engineering team consists of 8 dedicated engineers committed to developing innovative and high-quality supplement products that enhance consumer health and well-being globally. This team collaborates extensively with Project Management, Formulators, Quality, Packaging Engineers, Planning, and Manufacturing to create products that reinforce Amway's position as a leading direct-selling company and deliver significant value to our customers and their communities.

Compensation Considerations:

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Variations may occur in different locations due to labor cost considerations.
