Location: New Hyde Park, NY

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 per year

Key Responsibilities of a Switchgear Project Manager:

  • Prepare accurate quotations and pricing structures
  • Develop detailed proposals and quotes for clients
  • Deliver exceptional customer service experiences
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and respond promptly to inquiries
  • Ensure timely completion of project phases within budget and quality standards
  • Provide clear cost and resource estimates for electrical project design and execution
  • Regularly update clients and stakeholders on project developments
  • Engage in client meetings to assess project status and strategize action plans
  • Address any project-related challenges or delays
  • Collaborate with the sales team to secure project opportunities
  • Compile operation and maintenance manuals for ongoing projects
  • Quote for new and replacement electrical equipment projects
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Develop comprehensive project plans
  • Negotiate with designers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Participate actively in switchgear and control panel projects from initiation to completion
  • Engage with team members across various levels
  • Manage multiple project components concurrently
  • Work both in the office and on-site as needed

Requirements and Qualifications for Switchgear Project Manager:

  • Expertise in switchgear, motor control centers, panelboards, breakers, etc.
  • Prior experience in the electrical distribution sector is beneficial
  • Familiarity with leading industry brands such as Siemens, ABB, Eaton, and Sq D
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and closing abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Solid mathematical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated clarity in written and verbal communications
  • Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft Office software
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to enhance product and service knowledge
  • Valid driver's license for company vehicle operation

Physical Requirements for the Project Manager role:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Comfortable using computer equipment and climbing stairs regularly
  • Frequent involvement in a production/manufacturing environment
