Position Overview
As an Electrical Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by providing comprehensive quotations and managing sales for our specialized products. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare precise and detailed project quotations while securing competitive pricing for bids.
- Outline project timelines, costs, and resources necessary for successful electrical operations.
- Engage in client communications to review project progress and strategize action plans.
- Compile Operation and Maintenance Manuals along with Submittals for ongoing projects.
- Provide quotations for bid and specification jobs related to new and replacement electrical equipment.
- Develop structured project plans to ensure smooth execution.
- Negotiate effectively with designers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Support electrical projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with engineers and project managers.
- Liaise with personnel across various levels within the organization.
- Manage multiple aspects of projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work both in-office and on-site as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the electrical distribution sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electrical switchgear sales is a plus.
- Knowledge of major industry brands (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Eaton, Sq D) is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including proficiency in phone and email correspondence.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- A sales-oriented mindset with a self-starter attitude and eagerness to learn about products and services.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, adding machine, and telephone for extended periods.
