Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to hospitalist standards and clinical best practices.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies to promote patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of hospitalist physicians, focusing on professional skills and patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Medicine for performance evaluations and physician recruitment.
  • Analyze program performance feedback and provide constructive insights to the hospitalist team.
  • Oversee patient assessment processes, utilization reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits of patient records to ensure documentation quality and appropriateness of care.
  • Provide education to hospitalists on effective patient encounter documentation and coding practices.
