Clinical Psychologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the State of Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC). As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our inmate population, as well as supporting the wellness of our staff and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic testing, behavior modification, and program development and evaluation services to inmates
• Consult with other disciplines and services to coordinate psychological treatment modalities
• Develop and implement new service programs to support the mental health needs of inmates
• Conduct research and report findings in a manner suitable for professional publication
• Consult with community agencies and organizations to support the mental health needs of inmates

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology
• One year of post-doctoral experience as a psychologist working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist
• Licensure to practice psychology in Connecticut
