Job Title: Community Development Relationship Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Relationship Manager to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with small businesses in the Chicagoland West Suburban communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a network of community partners to provide referral opportunities
  • Present CIBC lending programs to community groups and attend civic and non-profit functions representing CIBC
  • Work with the Community Development Portfolio Manager and Client Specialist to underwrite and originate Community Development small business loans
  • Monitor and manage client accounts for payment and maturity past dues, overdrafts, future maturing loans, closed accounts, etc.
  • Active participation in Group Sales Meetings with sharing of success stories, difficulties, suggestions for improvements in the process that will benefit the group
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Business Lending or Community Development
  • Ability to present in front of groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong desire to work with small businesses from start-up, emerging business and established business levels
  • Purpose driven, self-starter with initiative strong organizational skills
  • Comfort level working in a hybrid environment (remote and in-office)
