Job Title: Relationship Advisor, Wealth Management

The Relationship Advisor, Wealth Management role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for managing individual and family wealth management client relationships while delivering exceptional service. This role requires a high level of expertise, collaboration, and communication to ensure timely delivery of high-quality account service, proactive advice, issue resolution, and effective communication of client needs to partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned account base of wealth management clients by working with clients and their professional advisors to develop a thorough understanding of the client's needs and goals.
  • Exhibit knowledge of agency account agreements and governing documents, as well as Advisory Practice services/offerings, capital markets, banking products/offerings, asset management, and prudent investment principles.
  • Guide client conversations for goals-driven wealth management and holistic advice, providing proactive advice on NT's products/services, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate actions for the client.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of various NT resources and utilize knowledge, experience, and NT resources to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills, focused client service with responsiveness, diplomacy, and tact, and proactive client contact through written and verbal communication with suitable frequency.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Advisory Practice services/offerings, capital markets, banking products/offerings, asset management, financial planning, and prudent investment principles.
  • Understand and comply with internal policies, processes, and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgment, recognizing fiduciary risk issues and seeking appropriate resolution.
  • Cultivate relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build the business, identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations representing NT.
  • Teach and mentor less experienced partners.
  • Travel to meet with clients where appropriate, considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements.
  • Seek continued development of fiduciary and advisory skills through training and experience.
Requirements:
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to grow and develop client relationships.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, usually acquired through related work experience, is required to manage client accounts.
  • Technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal, and operations, usually acquired through formal education or related experience, is required to service clients.
  • Some knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations, usually acquired through training, seminars, or law school, is required to administer accounts.
  • Skills in negotiating, problem solving, delegating, leadership, and sales are necessary to service the client relationship.
  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in asset servicing, relationship management, personal trust, investment management, or related fields is required.
