Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and promote health education.
  • Assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice, including taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop plans for patients and their families.
  • Provide care and management for acutely ill patients, respond to emergency situations, and see patients in intensive care units.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license.
  • Arizona Advance Practice Nurse license.
  • National Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialty.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
