Advanced Practice Nurse

As a Fellow Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our team, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients.
ResponsibilitiesThis 12-month post-graduate role is designed to provide you with additional experience and training in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including attending physicians and nurse practitioners, to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients. Your responsibilities will include taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests, as well as participating in quality assurance and quality improvement projects.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients, as appropriate and within the scope of practice.
- Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and perform appropriate procedures.
- As necessary, perform and document admissions, discharges, and progress notes.
- Order appropriate diagnostic tests, establish diagnoses, and provide care and management.
- May assist with the coordination of care with care management and facilitate admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounding with physicians and coordinators.
- Attend and actively participate in Fellowship educational activities, including didactic sessions and simulation labs.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement projects and related committees.
- Additional duties as assigned by Medical Director or other NTI Leadership.
MINIMUM
Master's in nursing from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
Compact State or AZ RN license (RN)AZ Advanced Practice Nurse license (LIC APN)National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulationsa. CT NP-ACCNb. CT NP-AANPc. CT NP-ANCCd. CT NP-PNCB
Valid DEA registrationBCLS and ACLS Specialty certification when applicable; acceptable if obtained within the first 12 months.
