Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a vital role in providing both primary and specialized healthcare services to individuals of all ages. Collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals, the NP ensures comprehensive care, promotes health literacy, and advocates for the wellness of patients.

  • In partnership with the medical director, the NP takes on clinical responsibilities within their scope of practice, which includes: gathering patient histories, conducting physical assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, establishing diagnoses, and managing care for prevalent illnesses and preventive health in both pediatric and adult populations.
  • The NP may facilitate patient admissions, transfers, or discharges within the healthcare system.
  • Appropriate referrals to specialists and community resources are made as needed.
  • Engagement in quality assurance and improvement initiatives is expected.
  • Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans for patients and their families is essential.
  • In addition to routine responsibilities, the inpatient specialty NP will manage care for critically ill patients, respond to emergencies, and may provide care in intensive care settings.

Full-time Advanced Practice Providers can receive up to $90,000 over five years. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program for nurse practitioners.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.

Possession of a Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN),
Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license (LIC APN),
National certification as a nurse practitioner in the relevant specialty under Arizona regulations: a.) CT NP-AACN, b.) CT NP-AANP, c.) CT NP-ANCC, or d) CT NP-PNCB,
Valid DEA registration (DEA).
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Compensation
$86.79 per hour
