Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Student Services Advisor who is enthusiastic about guiding individuals towards successful educational journeys. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the advisor will implement strategies aimed at enhancing student success and retention. Responsibilities include managing onboarding processes, conducting orientations, maintaining ongoing communication, and developing retention plans for a designated group of students.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and executing initiatives to promote student success and retention.
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff to align retention strategies.
  • Facilitating re-entry programs for students who have paused their studies.
  • Providing coaching and support through regular advising sessions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student experiences and outcomes.
  • Conducting welcome sessions for new students and maintaining engagement with current and former students.
  • Organizing and leading student events such as orientations and graduation ceremonies.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
  • Fostering effective communication and collaboration with various departments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with student management systems is a plus.
  • This position requires in-person attendance.
