As a full-time, float Patient Service Representative across our clinics, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing prior authorizations and scheduling patient appointments.
- Conducting on-demand eligibility checks and verifying appointment details.
- Registering new patients and assisting them in completing necessary forms and consents.
- Obtaining and confirming current insurance and financial information.
- Requesting and documenting all co-payments, co-insurance, self-pay, product sales, and previous balances.
- Updating patient demographic information in the practice management system.
- Coordinating return appointments in accordance with scheduling guidelines.
- Performing various administrative duties as required.
Optional: Availability for late evening shifts.
Qualifications: We seek a well-rounded customer service professional with substantial administrative experience. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess a genuine passion for healthcare. A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is required. Familiarity with third-party payer systems such as Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications including word processing and medical office management, are necessary. You must be capable of accurately recording and transmitting detailed information.
