The American Academy of Family Physicians is committed to advancing the specialty of family medicine and improving the health of Americans.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Political Affairs to join our Government Relations team in Washington, DC. This role will develop and execute strategies to align AAFP member priorities with the evolving political environment, ensuring compliance and leveraging opportunities for advocacy.

As a key member of our team, you will have a track record of developing and executing strategies, combined with strong listening and communication skills, creative problem solving, and the ability to build and maintain key relationships.

You will direct all aspects of the AAFPs political efforts, including management of FamMedPAC (Family Medicine Political Action Committee). FamMedPAC supports the AAFPs bipartisan efforts to lead the policy conversation about the health of our patients, families, and communities.

This position requires a minimum of four years work experience, preferably with PAC platforms such as DDC and Coalescent. Solid understanding of Federal Election Commission laws is also helpful.

A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects on short timelines, and a passion for ensuring that the interests of family physicians and their patients are well represented.

We offer a competitive salary range of $114,922 - $163,763 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
