The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a leading nonprofit membership organization, research center, and publisher dedicated to increasing America's understanding of the world and contributing ideas to U.S. foreign policy. We are seeking a Senior Coordinator, Executive Office to join our team as Assistant Director, Board of Directors and Special Projects Management.

About the Position:
  • You will assist the Managing Director and Secretary of the Corporation in managing CFR's Board of Directors, including preparation for and execution of board meetings, day-to-day management of administrative functions, and other activities essential to the effective governance of the organization.
  • Help coordinate the Managing Director's and Secretary's overall activities, prioritizing action items, managing concurrent efforts, and providing direct support in project execution.
  • Draft high-quality research materials, correspondence, memoranda, and documents related to the responsibilities of the Managing Director and Secretary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and Secretary of the Corporation.
  • Manage the calendar and schedule of the Managing Director and Secretary.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and other logistics as needed.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with an interest in foreign relations.
  • Four to five years of related work experience, including oversight and coordination of activities in a fast-paced environment, are necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both across departmental lines and with senior executives, are essential.
  • Strong research, editing, and proofreading skills are also required.
  • You must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively with other parts of the organization.
  • A team player with a positive and flexible attitude is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an aptitude to learn different technologies are expected.
Compensation:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $68,000 and $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
