About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Team Lead and Project Manager to join our team at the University of Richmond. This is a full-time, exempt position that requires significant physical effort and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of five Multimedia Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful maintenance and installation of multimedia equipment.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from conception to completion, including designing and implementing multimedia installations, coordinating with vendors and university departments, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Maintenance and Support: Maintain and repair multimedia equipment, including setting up and programming equipment for executive meetings and special events.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of multimedia equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate replacement stock and comparing repair costs to replacement costs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary contact for escalated service issues and special projects, working closely with the TMSS Director and other university departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent work experience in the field of multimedia/audiovisual equipment support will be considered.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience designing and supporting multimedia/audiovisual classroom installations, 4-5 years of experience as a project manager for multimedia projects, and 2-3 years of experience with Windows-based computers.
  • Skills: Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities, general knowledge of video conferencing technologies, advanced knowledge of audio and video cabling, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
Working Conditions

This position requires significant physical effort, including lifting, carrying, and setting up equipment, as well as moving and setting up projectors, large screens, and other multimedia equipment.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $55,640.00 to $73,736.00 annually. The University of Richmond offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
