Senior Manager Project Management

Capital One, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Project Management to drive strategy and execute high-priority projects. As a key member of our team, you will work with talented professionals to deliver results that impact the company's bottom line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects and programs, providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
  • Design, develop, and manage project plans in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements.
  • Ensure projects are properly documented to mitigate risk and meet deadlines.
  • Apply problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership for effective project delivery.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
  • Lead a team of project managers, demonstrating exceptional influencing skills to drive project/program efforts.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing structure to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through leadership style.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
  • At least 8 years of Project Management experience.
  • At least 1 year of People Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters/MBA degree.
  • At least 10 years of Project Management experience.
  • At least 3 years of People Management experience.
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
