Job Summary

The Clinical Educator is a key member of our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center, responsible for leading education initiatives and supporting the development of our nursing staff. This role requires a strong background in clinical nursing practice, adult education principles, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify education needs and develop targeted training initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing staff to support their professional development
  • Conduct competency assessments and evaluations to ensure nursing staff meet established standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in nursing education
Requirements
  • MSN required
  • 7 Years clinical experience in nursing in hospital setting to include 3 Years of ICU/PCU specific experience
  • Previous experience designing, facilitating, and validating education or training experiences required
  • Fully proficient in all areas covered in Basic Integrated Nursing General Orientation; able to instruct independently
  • Proficient in EMR applications, workflows, documentation practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Vermont RN and/or Advanced Practice Licensure in Vermont
  • Unit-specific training certifications as required per specific department operational framework
  • Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development and 1 unit specific certification preferred or obtained within two years of hire
