Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various states of health and illness.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory plans of care for patients
  • Provide direct patient care, instruction, and preparation for continuing care after discharge
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Administer surfactants to newborns and manage mechanical ventilation
  • Perform cardiac stress tests and provide expert-level direct clinical care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy
  • 6 months of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at RRMC
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care and current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association and completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia course
  • Ability to administer surfactants, manage mechanical ventilation, and perform cardiac stress tests
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic EKG interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Ability to lead shifts in absence of leadership and provide expert-level direct clinical care

We offer a competitive salary range of $39.98, with differential rates for evenings, nights, and weekends. Additionally, we offer a $10,000 hiring bonus agreement.
