Job Summary

This position oversees kitchen operations, directing meal preparation in accordance with corporate guidelines for an acute care hospital account with $3 million in annual managed volume.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement regular and modified menus based on established guidelines
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and equipment operation, adhering to Company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas
  • Manage inventory of food and non-food supplies within established guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
