Position Overview:

The Certified Behavior Analyst plays a pivotal role in guiding and supervising a dedicated team of assistant supervisors and behavior technicians in the execution of personalized treatment strategies grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This position involves conducting comprehensive functional behavior assessments and developing tailored ABA programs to meet the unique needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform intake evaluations, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and curriculum assessments, while assisting in the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Design and continually refine treatment plans, ensuring they align with the client's evolving needs.
  • Establish treatment protocols and behavior support strategies.
  • Provide direct supervision for assigned clients through face-to-face interactions.
  • Maintain open communication with parents to support the clinical goals outlined in each client's treatment plan.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Clinical Director to assess treatment plans, conceptualize cases, and address any challenges to client progress.
  • Lead a team of assistant supervisors and behavior technicians, offering ongoing supervision, training, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct parent training sessions to ensure treatment consistency across caregivers and promote skill generalization.
  • Continuously develop managerial and leadership capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with medical record documentation protocols as per organizational standards.
  • Supervise clinicians pursuing certification.
  • Uphold ethical standards and integrity in accordance with the BACB Ethical Code.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Deeply committed to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related discipline.
  • BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the ABA field.
  • Experience in training staff on behavioral methodologies and practices.
  • Proficient in navigating software systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Exhibit professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in all interactions.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and capable of critical thinking and problem-solving in diverse situations.
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize clinical and social data for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Dedicated to evidence-based practices and ethical treatment processes.
  • Ability to serve culturally and linguistically diverse families across various socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation.
  • Demonstrated competence in behavior management, instructional techniques, communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal relations.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), squatting, sitting, standing, and running, with or without reasonable accommodations.
