Position Overview:

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a crucial role in overseeing and mentoring a team of assistant supervisors and behavior technicians in the application of personalized treatment strategies grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client intake evaluations, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and educational assessments.
  • Design and refine individualized treatment plans, ensuring they are regularly updated to meet client needs.
  • Establish treatment protocols and behavior support strategies tailored to each client.
  • Provide direct supervision for assigned clients through face-to-face interactions.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families to support the clinical goals outlined in treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to assess treatment plans, share insights, and address any challenges affecting client progress.
  • Lead a team of assistant supervisors and behavior technicians, offering ongoing training, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate parent training sessions to promote treatment fidelity and skill generalization across various settings.
  • Continuously develop managerial and leadership competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with medical record documentation standards and organizational protocols.
  • Supervise clinicians pursuing certification, ensuring ethical practices in line with the BACB Ethical Code.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related discipline.
  • BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the ABA field.
  • Experience in training staff on behavioral principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in utilizing software systems for documentation and information management.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and critical thinking skills to adapt to diverse situations.
  • Analytical abilities to synthesize clinical and social data for effective treatment planning.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and ethical treatment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing as required.
