Position Overview:

The Certified Behavior Analyst (CBA) plays a crucial role in leading and supervising a team of assistant analysts and behavior technicians in the application of tailored treatment strategies grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This position involves conducting comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBA) and developing personalized ABA programs to enhance client outcomes. The CBA collaborates closely with both the Operations and Clinical Teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and effective implementation of treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform client intake evaluations, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and curriculum assessments, while assisting in the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Design and refine initial and ongoing treatment plans, making necessary adjustments to enhance effectiveness.
  • Establish treatment protocols and behavior support strategies.
  • Provide direct supervision for assigned clients through face-to-face interactions.
  • Maintain regular communication with families to support the clinical goals outlined in the treatment plans.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the Clinical Director to review treatment plans, discuss case strategies, and address any challenges to client progress.
  • Oversee a team of assistant analysts and behavior technicians, ensuring ongoing training, support, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct parent training sessions to promote treatment fidelity across caregivers and facilitate skill generalization.
  • Continuously develop managerial and leadership capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with medical record documentation protocols as per organizational standards.
  • Supervise clinicians pursuing certification.
  • Uphold ethical standards and integrity in accordance with the BACB Ethical Code.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Stay informed on current literature, research findings, and resources in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their full potential.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related discipline.
  • Valid BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the ABA field.
  • Experience in training staff on behavioral principles and practices.
  • Proficient in navigating software systems for documentation and information management.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and critical thinking skills to respond to diverse situations.
  • Analytical abilities to synthesize clinical and social data for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Dedication to evidence-based practices and ethical treatment processes.
  • Ability to serve culturally and linguistically diverse families across various socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation.
  • Competence in behavior management, instructional techniques, and interpersonal relations.
  • Physical capability to frequently bend, lift (up to 30 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run, with or without reasonable accommodations.
