Lead Aircraft Survivability Engineer

Our firm also offers multi-disciplinary engineering and technical services to esteemed agencies such as NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Department of Defense (DoD).
We are currently looking for a Senior Survivability Engineer to become a part of our team. In this role, you will provide engineering expertise to support the advancement and testing of cutting-edge aircraft.
Your daily interactions will involve collaboration with Air Force program managers and industry experts across various domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government in technical evaluations, strategic planning, and engineering assessments.
This position will require on-site presence in the Washington DC area, along with frequent travel within the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist system engineers in formulating aircraft survivability specifications.
- Evaluate and review aircraft survivability specifications.
- Contribute to the creation of aircraft survivability test plans.
- Analyze test data from survivability evaluations.
- Provide performance evaluations.
- Support the development of survivability support subsystems to enhance aircraft maintainability.
- Collaborate with contractors and government engineering and testing personnel.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of specialized experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft survivability (e.g., visual, audio, infrared, and radio frequency).
Experience with significant systems engineering in the design, development, and testing of processes, technologies, and subsystems related to aircraft survivability.
Specific knowledge of classified testing and evaluation capabilities utilized to develop advanced aircraft characteristics.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Fixed-wing aircrew (pilot or NFO), USN or USMC (as opposed to USAF), background in Low Observability (LO), knowledge of acquisitions, and Weapons School experience.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
Clearance Requirements:
Active TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
