We are currently in search of a Lead Aircraft Survivability Engineer to enhance our team. In this role, you will provide engineering expertise to support the development and testing of cutting-edge aircraft technologies. Daily interactions with Air Force program managers and industry experts across various domains (air, space, cyber) will be essential as you assist the government with technical evaluations, strategic planning, and engineering assessments.

This position requires an on-site presence in the Washington DC area, along with frequent travel within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist system engineers in formulating aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Evaluate and critique aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Contribute to the creation of aircraft survivability test plans.
  • Analyze test data from survivability assessments and evaluations.
  • Deliver performance evaluations.
  • Support the design of survivability support subsystems to improve aircraft maintainability.
  • Collaborate with contractors and government engineering and testing personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of specialized experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft survivability (e.g., visual, audio, infrared, and radio frequency).
  • Proven experience in systems engineering related to the design, development, and testing of processes, technologies, and subsystems pertinent to aircraft survivability.
  • Specific knowledge of classified testing and evaluation capabilities used to develop advanced aircraft features.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Fixed-wing aircrew (pilot or NFO).
  • Background in US Navy or US Marine Corps (as opposed to USAF).
  • Knowledge of Low Observable (LO) technologies.
  • Familiarity with acquisition processes.
  • Completion of Weapons School.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Possession of an active TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
