LinQuest is in search of a Senior Aircraft Survivability Engineer who will offer expert engineering support to facilitate the advancement and evaluation of cutting-edge aircraft.

This role involves daily collaboration with Air Force program managers and industry specialists across various sectors (air, space, cyber) to aid the government in technical evaluations, strategic initiatives, and engineering assessments.

The position is based in the Washington DC area and requires frequent travel within the United States. A TS SCI security clearance is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist system engineers in formulating aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Evaluate and critique aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Contribute to the creation of aircraft survivability testing plans.
  • Analyze test data from survivability assessments and evaluations.
  • Deliver performance evaluations.
  • Support the development of survivability support subsystems that improve aircraft maintainability.
  • Collaborate with contractors and government engineering and testing teams.

Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is essential for consideration.
  • Operational experience with advanced aircraft.
  • Over 10 years of specialized experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft survivability (e.g., visual, audio, infrared, and radio frequency).
  • Experience in significant systems engineering roles in the design, development, and testing of processes, technologies, and subsystems pertinent to aircraft survivability.
  • Specific knowledge of classified testing and evaluation capabilities utilized to develop advanced aircraft characteristics.
  • Willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Fixed-wing aircrew (pilot or NFO).
  • Background in US Navy or US Marine Corps (as opposed to USAF).
  • Experience with Low Observable (LO) technologies.
  • Familiarity with acquisition processes.
  • Weapons School experience.
