Position Overview:


SOVAH Health - Danville is in search of a PRN Radiologic Technology Student to assist in performing various imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and practices.

The role involves supporting technologists in obtaining radiographs using both stationary and fluoroscopic equipment.

Additionally, the student will assist in acquiring radiographs with portable units as needed in patient care areas and within the radiology department.

Continuous monitoring of patient conditions is essential, with appropriate reporting and response to any changes.
Preparation of equipment and supplies is also a key responsibility.
Assisting technologists with patient positioning and the execution of imaging procedures is required.
It is crucial to ensure that all necessary orders are obtained and adhered to during procedures.
Verification of patient identification prior to any procedure is mandatory.

Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Enrollment as a Senior in a Radiologic Technology Program is mandatory.

Essential Skills:
This position requires strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently.

Applicants must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately to various situations.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure consistent patient care and imaging coverage.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.

Experience:
Current clinical experience in a Radiologic Technology program is expected.
