Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Radiologic Technician to conduct a variety of imaging procedures in alignment with established protocols and standards. The successful candidate will:
- Review patient medical histories and physician directives.
- Provide education to patients regarding imaging procedures, equipment, and examinations to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as per scope of practice when required.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes in status.
- Prepare necessary equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
- Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct quality control procedures on imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.
- Position patients accurately and perform imaging procedures.
- Analyze imaging results and address any quality issues, including repositioning patients as needed.
- Document and report imaging results efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is mandatory.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions independently are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability for weekends and holidays.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
Experience:
Previous clinical experience is preferred.
