Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating the procedure.
- Enter, transmit, and report image results.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
