Job Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Graphic Imaging Technology Instructor to join our educational team. This role involves delivering a comprehensive curriculum in Graphic Imaging Technology, focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects of the field.

As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various courses, including but not limited to:

Fundamentals of Printing Processes Mathematics for Graphic Applications Digital Print Technologies Applications in Printing Your primary duties will include maintaining precise student records, adhering to deadlines related to student evaluations and administrative tasks, and engaging in college-wide initiatives and professional growth opportunities for faculty. Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Graphic Imaging Technology or a closely related field. At least two years of relevant work experience in the industry. Proficiency in software applications, particularly the Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of the Macintosh operating system. Familiarity with traditional design techniques and methodologies. Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students. Competence in reviewing, updating, and developing curricula to align with industry standards and certification requirements. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. A commitment to educational excellence and a passion for teaching within the community college framework. Eagerness to learn new concepts, tools, and software pertinent to the courses offered. Experience with Windows operating systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to leverage campus resources, including software and learning management systems. Capacity to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making processes. Proficiency in utilizing technology to enhance instructional delivery in both classroom and laboratory settings. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Imaging Technology or a related discipline. Experience teaching at the community college level. Five or more years of professional experience in the Graphic Imaging Technology sector. *Please attach any relevant certifications as supporting documents.*
