Role Overview:

As a Utility Specialist, you will work under the supervision of the Value Stream Supervisor, contributing to the assembly of vessels and components integral to our manufacturing process.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Utilize various hand tools, including wrenches, impact guns, torque wrenches, sanders, and grinders.
  • Assemble components following detailed instructions, ensuring accuracy by cross-referencing with blueprints and work orders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and verify the operational status of overhead cranes.
  • Handle materials using cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Inspect finished products to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Execute tasks in accordance with established procedures, with limited scope for independent decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong aptitude for basic mechanical or electrical repairs.
  • A valid forklift operator's license.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent walking, talking, and listening. Occasional standing, sitting, and manual dexterity are necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds is required. Vision capabilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The role involves working in both office and manufacturing settings, with occasional duties outside the typical office environment.
