Position Overview:
Reporting to the Value Stream Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the assembly of vessels and components integral to our manufacturing operations.
Your Responsibilities:- Utilize various hand tools, including wrenches, impact guns, torque wrenches, sanders, and small grinders.
- Assemble components according to detailed instructions, ensuring accuracy by cross-referencing parts with the bill of materials (BOM) and blueprints.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and verify the proper functioning of overhead cranes.
- Employ cranes and forklifts for efficient material handling.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Inspect finished products to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Execute tasks in accordance with established procedures, with limited scope for independent decision-making.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a solid understanding of basic mechanical or electrical repairs.
- A valid forklift operator's license.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires frequent walking, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, you will need to stand, sit, and use your hands for handling materials. The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds is necessary. Specific vision capabilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
You will work in both office and manufacturing settings, with occasional responsibilities outside the typical office environment.
